SOUTH AFRICA AS A CARPING DESTINATION

The European Style (hair rig) of carp fishing, has only really started taking off in South Africa in the last two or three years. Anglers like Gilbert Foxcroft, has done ground breaking work to get this style of fishing established. Gilbert and a few anglers in the know have however been fishing this way for a number years and below are some of their results. The photos below are proof that South Africa has an abundance of BIG FISH to offer. With this style of fishing being so new, it means that most of the carp waters in South Africa are still untouched and need to be explored to really determine their true potential. The photos below are from various different fishing destinations in South Africa.
